Candlelight Vigil to Honor Cpl/1 Matthew “Ty” Snook Sunday Evening

The Town of Georgetown, Mayor West,
Senator Pettyjohn and Representative Jones Giltner invite community members and members of law enforcement to gather at The Circle in Georgetown on Sunday, December 28, at 6:00 p.m. for a candlelight vigil honoring Delaware State Trooper Cpl/1. Matthew “Ty” Snook, who was killed in the line of duty on December 23.

Service will run from 6 to 8pm.  At the end of service we would like to have all first responders stand in front of vehicles around the Circle so the crowd can walk by and thank you for your service. Start the line of first responders in front of town hall. Attendees please let them get lined up and then start at town hall walking counter clockwise.

The Circle will be closed to traffic beginning at 4:30 p.m. Parking restrictions will be in place, and only police vehicles will be permitted access to the Circle.
Please join us in showing support for the family of Cpl/1. Snook and the Delaware State Police as they mourn the loss of their fallen hero.
