Careless Smoking Sparks Restaurant Fire

Investigators with the Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal have found that careless smoking caused an accidental fire at a Salisbury restaurant. The blaze broke out on the night of August 31st at Ruby Tuesday on North Fruitland Boulevard. The fire alarm was present but did not activate due to the location of the fire. The fire started in the exterior utility closet and was discovered by occupants of the restaurant. The estimated loss of the structure is $50,000.
