Caroline County Sheriff’s Office Investigating Theft Case

Deputies from the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a theft in which the victim reported paying $400 to a “Mary Murray” on Facebook Marketplace for a couch and delivery of a couch. The victim sent the money via Zelle payment, and once the payment was sent, communication was lost with the seller. The victim advised no couch was ever delivered.
