Georgetown Police were called Wednesday evening for a collision involving a young child on a bicycle. Police found the inured child had been struck by a vehicle in the area of East North Street near North Railroad Avenue just before 6:30. Police learned that the child rode their bike into the road from a private driveway – into the path of an SUV driven by a Georgetown man. The child, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from the bike and suffered a head injury and leg injury and was treated at Beebe Medical Center and released. Police say no charges will be filed.
