Salisbury Mayor Jake Day says the City is putting out a call for an artist or team of artists to design and paint a mural at the corner of one of Salisbury’s busiest intersections.
The property at the corner of Church Street and Business Route 13 will serve as home to the mural, after the building on the lot was donated to the city and demolished. The City says the mural will be painted on the side of a building at 401 East Church Street, facing traffic in the intersection.
The Mayor’s Office says anyone interested should submit a resume and five relevant art pieces to Kevin Lindsay at [email protected] The deadline for applications is March 10th. The winning artist is set to be announced on March 15, with the mural’s completion set for April 15.
