Delegate Mary Beth Carozza isn’t playing around. She thinks people should be able to gamble on dice games in their homes, like poker and mahjong players do. Delegate Carozza introduced a bill in the State House Wednesday to include the dice game Bunco with other legalized in-home card games.

Current Maryland law allows people over 21 years old to hold card games like poker and mahjong in their homes, but bans dice games. Delegate Carozza saying it doesn’t make sense card games are legal gambling, but dice games are not. Interim Worcester County State’s Attorney Bill McDermott says the bill makes sense for the interests of parity and justice.
