Col. Douglas Stouffer Takes Command Of Dover AFB 512th Airlift Wing

The 512th Airlift Wing at Dover Air Force Base has a new Commander.

“I humbly accept command of the 512th Airlift Wing,” Colonel Douglas A. Stouffer said. “I’m honored to serve in this capacity, and I thank you once again for what you do for this Air Force.”

The 512th is also known as the Liberty Wing and is comprised of 1,650 Reserve Citizen Airmen.

Colonel Stouffer previously led the 927th Airlift Refueling Wing Based at Florida’s MacDill Air Force Base. He has more than 6,000 flight hours, including more than 400 combat hours.

“Team, I’ll tell ya; you’re in great hands,” 4th Air Force, Maj. Gen. Jeffrey T. Pennington said. “Some of the most phenomenal, upbeat, positive, experienced leaders in all of 4th Air Force are here leading you.”
