Comment Period for Fenwick Island State Park Improvements Extended to Wed, Jan 15

DNREC has extended the Fenwick Island State Park proposed improvements survey deadline until Wednesday, January 15th to allow additional input regarding the estimated $18-million in proposed improvements. The improvements will look at ways to better traffic flow, upgrade infrastructure and add new recreational amenities. Offshore wind developer, Orsted, has proposed funding these projects as part of a public-private partnership. If the State allows the Maryland Skipjack Wind Farm project to connect to the electrical grid under the Fenwick Island State Park, funding for the amenities could be done sooner.
