UPDATE: Crash at Route 113 South at Avenue of Honor


UPDATE: 7/10/25: 7:09 p.m.

Delaware State Police tell the Talk of Delmarva that this morning at around 7 a.m., a Jeep Renegadewas traveling southbound on Dupont Boulevard near Avenue of Honor. At the same time, a Mack tractor and trailer was on the southbound shoulderof Dupont Boulevard near Avenue of Honor, backing up in theconstruction area. Based on the investigation by police, the Jeep left its lane of travel, entered the shoulder, and as a result, hit the tractor and trailer. The driver of the Jeep, a 25-year-old man from Milford, was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He was cited for inattentive driving. The driver of the Mack, a 36-year-old man from Atlanta, Georgia, was not injured. Dupont Boulevard southbound was closed for a period of time while the crash was investigated and cleared.

UPDATE: 7/10/25: 8:45 a.m.聽 Delaware State Police have informed the Talk of Delmarva that troopers just cleared the scene and the road is now open. Further details are forthcoming.
