UPDATED: Crash Near Milford on June 26 Leaves 3 Dead


UPDATED – 07/07/26 – Delaware State Police say that three people have now died as a result of a two vehicle crash on June 26th near the intersection of Route 14/Milford Harrington Highway and Church Hill Road. The occupants of a Nissan have been identified with help from the Division of Forensic Science as 60 year old Mark Yancey and 62 year old Jana Yancey from Yorktown, Virginia.

The driver of the Mustang, 36 year old Eric Lynch of Harrington, died from injuries he sustained in the crash on July 1st.

ORIGINAL STORY – 06/27/26 – A two vehicle crash just after 9 Friday night west of Milford left two people dead and one injured. Delaware State Police say a Mustang was speeding westbound on Route 14/Milford Harrington Highway near Church Hill Road. A Nissan had just turned onto Route 14 from Church Hill Road when the front of the Mustang collided with the rear of the Nissan which rotated and overturned into a utility pole and caught fire.

The driver and passenger in the Nissan were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Mustang – a 36 year old Harrington man was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.
