Crash on Rt 13 North of Seaford Injures Two

A crash Sunday night just after 11 remains under investigation. Delaware State Police say that a Mazda was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of Route 13 north of Cannon Road north of Seaford. The driver of a Toyota Tacoma tried to swerve to avoid a collision but was not able. The driver of a third vehicle failed to see the crash and struck both vehicles and the driver of Toyota, who had gotten out of his vehicle. The driver of the Mazda – a 22 year old man from Georgetown – was not properly restrained and was taken to Nanticoke Memorial Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the Toyota – a 66 year old man from Ellendale – was also taken to Nanticoke with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the third car was properly restrained and not injured.
