A Dagsboro man has been arrested for home improvement fraud. The investigation by Delaware State Police began in November of 2024 when police learned that 45 year old James Gustafson of Dagsboro signed a contract with a 60 year old victim to do construction work and received payment of $30,000. The work was never completed and the victim’s money was not reimbursed. A warrant was obtained for Gustafson’s arrest ā he was arrested Wednesday by Ocean View Police and turned over to DSP. Gustafson is charged with home improvement fraud by false pretense and released on his own recognizance.
Police ask anyone who may have been defrauded by Gustafson to contact Troop 4 Financial Crimes at 302-856-5850 or Crime Stoppers at 800-847-3333.
