Deadline for Candidates to File for Lewes Town Council & BPW Elections is Thursday Afternoon

The filing deadline for candidates interested in running for Lewes City Council or the Lewes Board of Public Works is 4:30pm Thursday. There are two town council seats up for election – each is for a 3 year term. There are also two seats up for election on the BPW – each for a 3 year term.

Voter registration for the City Council election must be done through the State Department of Elections no later than 4:30pm on Friday, April 24^th.

To participate in the BPW elections – voters must be registered by completing a BPW voter registration application – which can be done by mail, email or in person at the BPW main office.

The City Council and BPW elections are set for Saturday, May 9^th.
