Delaware is no longer operating a wait list for a COVID-19 vaccination, effective at 3:00 p.m. today (Friday).

According to Delaware Public Health, the state is entering a new phase with its program as more vaccine becomes available. DPH will now advise Delawareans about the multiple ways to get vaccinated with or without an appointment throughout the state.

More than 200,000 people signed up for the wait list between January 20th and Thursday.

“The wait list was a critical tool for allowing us to assess demand for vaccine and to match limited doses with those most at risk from COVID-19,” DPH Director Dr. Karyl Rattay said. “Now that we are in a situation of more plentiful vaccine and open eligibility, we no longer need to screen and prioritize invitations to appointments, and we can focus on letting people know the multiple ways they can get vaccinated with or without an appointment.”

The website, de.gov/getmyvaccine, now also includes information about the availability of a vaccination from pharmacies, medical providers and other sources with an appointment or as a walk-in. Help is also available from the DPH Vaccine Call Center at 1-833-643-1715 (option 3)
