Delaware Democratic Party Welcomes New Executive Director

The Delaware Democratic Party has a new executive director. Seth Barnes has been appointed to the position and will begin on Monday, November 17th. Barnes has over 15 years of experience in government, campaigns and nonprofit leadership and most recently served as a Legislative Aide to US Senator Amy Klobuchar. Barnes and his wife relocated to Wilmington two years ago.

Most recently, he served as a Legislative Aide to U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar, where he advanced major policy initiatives in economic development, housing, and foreign affairs. He has also held senior organizing roles on national and state campaigns, including as Deputy GOTV Director for the Minnesota Coordinated Campaign and Deputy Iowa Organizing Director for Amy for America.

“Seth’s experience, leadership, and collaborative spirit make him the right person to guide our operations as we prepare for 2026 and beyond,” said Evelyn Brady, Chair of the Delaware Democratic Party.
