Delaware Department of Labor Launches Delaware Youth Workforce Connect Call to Strengthen Pathways for Young Workers

The Delaware Department of Labor’s Division of Industrial Affairs is kicking off the Delaware Youth Workforce Connect Call—a new virtual info series aimed at strengthening connections between community organizations and state agencies that support young workers across the state. Hosted by the Department’s Office of Wage & Hour, this monthly series is all about helping Delaware youth ages 14 to 17 get the tools, knowledge, and opportunities they need to succeed in the workplace. The first session is set for Thursday, August 21st, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Microsoft Teams. Community groups, educators, workforce partners, and employers are all encouraged to join in. Participants will also have a chance to exchange ideas, tools, and best practices for creating safe and supportive work experiences for Delaware’s young employees.

Additional information from the Delaware Department of Labor:

This inaugural call will feature:

  • A brief Child Labor presentation highlighting workplace compliance requirements for minors.
