Delaware State Police Arrest Lewes Man for Burglary to an Occupied Residence
Delaware State Police have arrested a 57-year-old Lewes man on charges of burglary and offensive touching following an incident that occurred early yesterday morning in Lewes. According to State Police, On March 10th at about 2:00 a.m., troopers responded to a residence on Plantation Road in Lewes for a report of the burglary in progress. When troopers arrived, they heard the occupants of the residents yelling and pointing in the direction of where the suspect ran. Troopers located the suspect, identified as Dale Andrews, and took him into custody without incident. Police say he entered the home through an unlocked door and grabbed a 57-year-old man. Andrews ran away afteranother occupant of the residence confronted him. The victim suffered minor injuries.

Andrews was arrested and taken to Troop 7, where he was charged with Burglary 1st Degree—Occupied Dwelling Causing Injury (Felony) as well as Offensive Touching. He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 11, and is now at the Sussex Correctional Institution on a $20,500 cash bond.
