UPDATED: Delaware State Police Investigating Single-Vehicle Fatal Crash in Seaford

UPDATED – 10/10/25 – Delaware State Police have identified 63 year old Jorge Ruiz of Seaford as the man who died in the fatal crash in Seaford on Wednesday.

ORIGINAL STORY – 10/08/25 – Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal crash in which a vehicle exited the road and struck a tree. The crash occurred in Seaford just before 3 p.m. According to Delaware State Police, the vehicle–a Buick Enclave– was heading northbound on Seaford Road approaching O’Neal’s Road when the crash happened. The driver, a 63-year-old man from Seaford, was taken to an area hospital where he died. His name is being withheld until his family is notified. Seaford Road was closed for an extended time while the scene was investigated and cleared.
