Delaware’s 2025 Wildlife Action Plan Gets U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Approval
April 8, 2026/
The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) has announced federal approval of the state’s 2025 Wildlife Action Plan, allowing it to guide conservation efforts through 2035. The plan, developed over three years with input from experts and the public, identifies key species and habitats in need of protection and is required for continued federal funding. Officials say the updated plan also improves public access with online tools, including a searchable database and habitat maps. The complete plan, database, and habitat explorer are available at the de.gov/dewap webpage.
