Delaware’s Senators vote to partially repeal Dodd-Frank Act

Delaware’s Senators catching heat from progressives after both approve a bill to end reforms enacted on the banking industry. A partial repeal of the Dodd-Frank Act moving forward in the US Senate, with Senators Chris Coons and Tom Carper joined 15 other Democrats in approving the rollback, which would reclassify banks with under $250 billion in assets as not systemically important, and exempt them from tighter oversight by the Federal Reserve. Senate Republicans voted unanimously in favor of the bill, however, Senate Democrats are split on the issue, with its progressive wing warning the rollback could usher in another financial crisis.
