Construction on the new Rehoboth Beach Patrol-Comfort Station at Baltimore Avenue has been delayed as city and state code requirements related to the extension into 64 feet of the current street end of Baltimore Avenue are addressed. The Beach Patrol station – and public restroom is on Friday’s agenda for the City Commissioners at 2pm.

The City Commissioners will receive additional information from city staff in response to the Planning Commission’s report, consider resuming a public hearing on the abandonment of the eastern terminus of Baltimore Avenue and consider a resolution to abandon the street section and move forward with the project or consider other alternatives. This project was approved by the Commission in August – with construction to begin in September.
