Update: Delmar, Md. Voters Elect New Mayor


*Update: Benjamin Jorden has been elected Mayor of Delmar Md. Jorden defeated incumbent Karen Wells in Tuesday’s election, 126-76.

Two open seats on Delmar, Maryland Town Commission were won by Jacob Boothe and Cory Shaffer.
Another candidate, Faith Higbee, finished out of the running.


It was election day Tuesday in Delmar, Maryland.

Votes may be cast at Delmar Town Hall on Pennsylvania Avenue on the Maryland side until 7:00 p.m. (Tuesday).

Mayor Karen Wells is running for re-election. She’s being challenged by Benjamin Jorden.

Two positions on the town commission are also on the line. Three candidates are running.
