Dept. HHS distributes millions of dollars to states to help fight opioid epidemic

The US Department of Health and Human Services releases another batch of funding to help states fight the opioid crisis. HHS Secretary Alex Azar says the Trump Administration is partnering with states to accelerate the deployment of resources. The funds will go to preventing the misuse of prescription opioids, expand access to treatment options, and support recovering addicts. Delaware is receiving $2 million from the feds, and Maryland is getting over $10 million.
