Donation to BBVFC & Area Non-profits from Bethany Beach First Responders Sports Weekend

A donation of $20,000 has been made by the organizers of the Bethany Beach First Responders Sports Weekend to the Bethany Beach Volunteer Fire Company and $5000 to other local non-profits. The sports weekend, which was held in September features two days of events – including a half marathon, triathlon, duathlon, and more. The weather was windy and wet this year – but still brought out about 1000 athletes who took part. Registration is already open for next year’s event – planned for September 21st and 22nd.
