Dover Convenience Store Robbed; Employee Injured

Dover Police are investigating an armed robbery at the Dover Express convenience store on Saulsbury Road.

An employee was closing the business Thursday night at about 7:33 p.m. when someone came in and showed a gun.
The employee was forced to go behind the counter, and the suspect stole some cash from two registers before shoving the employee. The 40-year-old employee needed hospital treatment for minor injuries.

The suspect wore a dreadlock wig and tan jacket, and rode a bicycle, all of which were discarded and located in the area during the search for the suspect.

Police provided this description of the suspect:

The suspect is described as a black male, wearing a black knit hat with a dreadlock wig, black glasses, a tan Dickies jacket, tan pants, and tan work boots.  The suspect was also riding a blue bicycle. The bicycle, tan jacket, and hat/wig were located nearby as officers searched for the suspect.
