Dover PD Arrest Wilmington Man Driving Stolen Car

Dover Police have arrested a 19 year old Wilmington man who was driving a stolen vehicle Saturday night. Police were notified of a stolen vehicle in the area of Route 13 and Scarborough Road – officers found the vehicle turning onto College Road and initiated a traffic stop. The driver drove off toward the DSU campus and then stopped and three people got out and ran from officers. The driver, 19 year old King Grasty of Wilmington, was arrested after a foot chase and found in possession of over 3 grams of crack cocaine. A handgun was also found on the path where the other 2 occupants of the car ran.

Grasty was charged with the following offenses:

  • Receiving Stolen Property
  • Disregarding a Police Officer Signal
  • Resisting Arrest
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance

He was released on $4,350 unsecured bond.
