DPH: Flu season rages on, 11th death recorded Delaware

Delaware records its 11^th death from the flu this year, and the first death of an otherwise healthy person. Delaware’s Division of Public Health saying a 47-year old woman from New Castle County did not have any underlying health issues—however, officials say she did not get a flu vaccine this year.

There is no end in sight for this flu season, DPH estimating more than 1,200 new lab-confirmed flu cases were recorded last week, although official numbers will be posted later. If you get sick, officials say you should stay home from work or school until you are fever free for 24-hours.
