Maryland DNR officials say that dredging is expected to begin at the Ocean City Inlet on or about November 20th.

The Army Corps of Engineers will concentrate on the inlet with the goal to finish clearing the entrance into the West Ocean City Harbor. This dredging should be completed shortly before Thanksgiving.

If time allows, the Murden may be able to work on dredging the intersection with the Sinepuxent Channel, which will provide more access to the West OC Harbor entrance channel. This work is needed to maintain access for larger vessels.
