DSP Arrest 2 in Dover after Pursuit of Stolen Vehicle

Two men have been arrested and one remains on the loose after a pursuit of a stolen vehicle by Delaware State Police Friday night. A trooper on patrol in Dover around 10pm spotted a stolen silver Outlander traveling at a high rate of speed on South Dupont Highway, make a U-Turn and had speed northbound. The trooper attempted a traffic stop but the driver sped off. During the chase, the Outlander sped recklessly on several local Dover roads before coming to a stop in Capital Park – where the three occupants ran off.

A search of the area turned up 18 year old Kenneth Seward and 19 year old Jaziah Wilson – both of Dover – who were arrested. A search of the vehicle turned up a loaded AR-style rifle with a high-capacity magazine and property belonging to the third occupant, 20 year old Makhai Miller of Dover. Police have a warrant for Miller’s arrest.

Both Seward and Wilson were each charged with the following:

  • Possession of Large Capacity Magazine During Commission of a Felony (Felony)
  • Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony (Felony)
  • Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited – Prior Violent Crime or Felony (Felony) – 2 counts
  • Receiving Stolen Property Over $1,500 (Felony)
  • Conspiracy 2nd Degree (Felony)
  • Resisting Arrest

Seward was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 7, and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $66,500 cash bond.

Wilson was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 7, and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $54,500 cash bond.
