DSP Arrest Harbeson Man for Drugs & Weapons After Pursuit

Delaware State Police were called to a business complex on Dozer Lane in Harbeson Saturday afternoon for a report of a man under the influence of an illegal substance or experiencing a medical issue. A man, later identified as 36 year old Ryan Doneker of Harbeson, in the drivers seat of a Honda who sped off when police approached him. He sped off on Indian Mission Road – driving erratically on several roads before he was stopped on Gravel Hill Road by stop sticks near Doc Frame Road. Doneker was arrested and showed signs of impairment – a search turned up a small amount of cocaine, ice pick and suspected drug proceeds. Doneker was taken to Troop 4 where he was charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony (Felony)
- Possession with Intent to Deliver Controlled Substance (Felony)
- Disregarding a Police Officer Signal (Felony)
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon (Felony)
- Resisting Arrest
- Malicious Mischief by a Motor Vehicle
- Driving Under the Influence of Drug
- Numerous Traffic Offenses
Doneker was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 3, and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on a $24,401 secured bond.
