DSP Charge Frederica Man with 3rd Offense DUI

Delaware State Police were tipped to an incident Monday morning around 8:30 where a driver of a red minivan struck several curbs and was all over the roadway in the area of North Main Street and East Walnut Street in Magnolia. A trooper observed the minivan crossing the fog line on South State Street and conducted a traffic stop. The minivan stopped in the DSP parking lot, but then attempted to make a U-turn but drove up on the curb. The trooper contacted the driver, 61 year old Norman St Sauveur of Frederica, and observed signs of impairment. He was arrested after field sobriety tests.

While in custody at Troop 3, St. Sauveur Jr. was charged with the following crimes:

  • 3rd Offense DUI (Felony)
  • Traffic offenses

St. Sauveur Jr. was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 7 and was release on $5060 unsecured bond.
