Delaware State Police warning people about a surge in skimmer devices placed on credit card machines throughout the state. They say identity thieves are placing the devices mainly on ATMs and at Gas Stations. While most of the devices were found upstate, they were also discovered at a few locations in the area: the Royal Farms in Harrington, the Harbeson Deli in Harbeson, and the Shore Stop in Seaford. Police say the best way to safeguard yourself from these attacks are to closely monitor your credit card and bank accounts, and report any fraudulent activity to you bank and police.
