UPDATED: Suspect Arrested in Armed Robbery at Laurel Hardee’s; Awaiting Extradition to Delaware

UPDATED – 05/19/25 – Delaware State Police have identified the suspect in a robbery last week in Laurel at the Hardee’s drive-thru. Detectives identified 28 year old Damiean Turner of Cambridge as the suspect – he is currently in custody in Maryland awaiting extradition to Delaware.

Police say Turner will be charged with multiple offenses when he is returned to Delaware:

  • Robbery 1st Degree (Felony)
  • Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony (Felony)
  • Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited Prior Violent Crime or Felony (Felony)
  • Aggravated Menacing (Felony)
  • Wearing a Disguise During the Commission of a Felony (Felony)
  • Theft under $1,500

ORIGINAL STORY – 05/13/25Delaware State Police were called to the Hardee’s on Sussex Highway in Laurel Monday afternoon around 3 for a report of an armed robbery. Investigation showed that a black male entered the drive-thru and displayed a gun to the employee and demanded money from the register. The employee complied and the suspect drove off with an undisclosed amount of cash.  There were no injuries reported.

The suspect was operating a dark colored Honda car with Maryland registration 6DA1892 and damage to the driver’s side front.
