DSP Investigating Deadly Hit and Run Crash Near Seaford

Delaware State Police are investigating a hit and run crash that left a 73 year old Seaford bicyclist dead on Woodpecker Road west of Seaford. Police say the bicyclist was eastbound along the edge of Woodpecker Road west of Butler Branch Road just after 2pm when an eastbound vehicle for unknown reasons struck the rider and left the scene. The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police believe the suspect vehicle may have damage to the passenger side – possibly near the turn signal housing.
