UPDATED: DSP Identify Victim in Early Wednesday Morning Fatal Motorcycle Crash

UPDATED – 05/22/26 – Delaware State Police has identified 56-year-old Robert Riden of Frankford as the man who died in a fatal motorcycle crash on Lighthouse Road in Selbyville on Wednesday

ORIGINAL STORY – 05/20/26 – A Frankford man is dead after motorcycle crash on Route 54 east of Selbyville. Delaware State Police were called just after 1am where they found a Harley-Davidson Road King motorcycle was headed eastbound when the operator failed to negotiate a slight curve and went off the roadway striking a concrete-and-metal safety barrier.

Police say the 56 year old operator was not wearing a helmet and was ejected from the motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene.
