DSP Investigating Fatal Crash near Hartly Sunday Night

Delaware State Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash Sunday evening that left a Hartly man dead. Police say around 7:30pm a pickup truck was northbound on Butterpat Road in the area of Bear Pond Road when the driver failed to negotiate a curve, over-corrected and was ejected from the truck. Police believe the driver’s door was not properly secured at the time of the crash.

The 31 year old driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
