DSP Investigating Fatal Crash near Laurel
Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal crash where a man drove into the Broad Creek in Laurel two weeks ago. Fishermen found the body of 44 year old Jose Roaro-Alanis of Seaford just before 9pm on March 12th and contacted police. His body was taken to the State Medical Examiner to determine the cause of death. Another fisherman discovered a vehicle in the water this past Friday – which police say is Roaro-Alanis’s pickup.
Police believe Roaro-Alanis was southbound on North Central Avenue approaching the drawbridge when his truck went off the roadway and went into the water where it was fully submerged.
