DSP Investigating Shooting in Lewes Area

A Lewes woman was injured in a shooting incident that occurred early Friday morning on Evette Lane west of Lewes just after midnight. Delaware State Police learned that an unknown suspect fired shots at an occupied home – a 40 year old woman inside was struck by gunfire and taken to an area hospital with serious injuries. A man and a child were also in the home at the time, but were not injured.
