Early Morning Crash Near Berlin Leaves 1 Dead and 1 Injured


One person is dead and another injured after crash just after 6 Saturday morning on Route 113 near Georgetown Road near Berlin. Maryland State Police say the Crown Victoria, driven by 33 year old Miguel Carrion of Snow Hill, spun off the roadway into trees and came to rest in the center median and caught fire. Police were able to pull the driver from the car – he is being treated for injuries at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional Hospital. A passenger was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS. The exact cause remains under investigation, but police believe inclement weather may be a contributing circumstance.
