Early Morning Fire at Showell Commercial Property Accidental

Firefighters from Showell were called for an alarm activation with water flow at a commercial business on Worcester Highway. Crews arriving at the scene around 5am Tuesday morning found smoke in the building and upgraded the call to a commercial structure fire and additional units were called.

A small fire was found extinguished by a single automatic sprinkler head. Investigation determined that the fire began inside a ‘grow room’ and was accidental and electrical in nature. Firefighters were on the scene for about 2 hours assisting with fire suppression and smoke removal.

There were no injuries reported.
