East Isabella Street Fire Under Investigation

A Salisbury woman was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation after fire broke out in her East Isabella Street home last evening just before 6. Salisbury Fire officials say there was a smoke alarm present, but it did not activate. Investigation shows the fire began in a first floor bedroom – the cause remains under investigation. Damage is estimated at $30,000.
