UPDATED: Easter Shooting in Dover, Police Still Looking for Suspect

UPDATED 8:55am – A 32 year old Dover man was shot in the abdomen around 5 Sunday afternoon.  Dover Police say the victim was shot by an unknown suspect in the area of Governors Avenue and Reed Street – and was taken by private vehicle to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital and later transferred to Christiana Hospital where he is in stable condition.  Police say a vehicle was also struck during the incident.  A witness told police that the suspect went into an apartment at 26 South Governors – police searched several apartments, but the suspect was not found.  Police reopened the street around 10pm.

Shots rang out in Dover last night just before 7:30pm.  Officials say the shooting occurred in the area of Governors Avenue and Reed Street.  One person was taken to an area hospital.  No further information has been made available.
