Easton Police Looking for Bank Robbery Suspect

Easton Police were called to the BayVanguard Bank on Idlewild Avenue in Easton for a bank robbery just after 2:30 Monday afternoon. Police learned that an African-American man entered the bank, approached a teller and demanded money – then handed the teller a note and showed a firearm. The suspect left the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect is black, possibly in his 30s, about 5′ 6” to 6-feet tall with a thin build and a goatee. He was wearing a white long-sleeve shirt and white pants, black shoes, a lime green baseball hat and sunglasses and carried a black sling bag. The suspect was last seen running on Idlewild Avenue towards Idlewild Park. No employees were injured.
Officers requested the assistance of the Maryland State Police Crime Scene Unit to assist with processing the crime scene. A Caroline County Sheriff’s Office Deputy and his K-9 conducted a possible track, the suspect might have taken. A Special Agent with the FBI also responded to the bank to assist with the investigation. Investigators are asking citizens in the community to look at their surveillance cameras to see if the suspect was caught on video.
