The EPA announcing $5.5 billion in funding available for water infrastructure projects. State and local governments, businesses, and other clean water programs are able to apply for the funding. EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt says the funds will spark new investments to repair the nation’s crumbling water infrastructure. He says the money will incentivize states, municipalities, and public-private partnerships to protect public health, fix local infrastructure, create jobs, and provide clean water to communities. Interested agencies, municipalities, or businesses must submit a Letter of Intent by July 6th; more information about the program and application process can be found here.
