Fake Facebook profile set up to mirror DE Sen. Chris Coons

Someone is pretending to be Delaware Senator Chris Coons online. The Senator reporting a fake Facebook profile set up to look like the real senator’s profile. Senator Coons is warning people to be wary of a profile named Chris T. Coons.

The fake profile is friends with a large amount of Russians, although the fake Coons profile also belongs to one Facebook group of comprised of 50 people based in the African nation of Cameroon. The account was in existence as of January 2016.

No matter where the profile is being run from, know its not Sen. Coons, so its recommended you not accept friends requests or interact with the fake profile.
