Family arrested, charged in theft case in Harrington

A Mother, Father, and son were arrested on theft charges after police say they conspired to steal a woman’s phone and debit cards at the Royal Farms in Harrington.

According to the Harrington Police Department, on Tuesday officers on patrol were called to the Royal Farms on Milford-Harrington Highway for reports of theft. Upon arrival, officers met with the victim who reported that her cell phone had been stolen.

During the course of the investigation, police learned that the victim was inside the store and left her phone. She then returned to the store but was unable to find her phone.

The victim checked her accounts and determined that the unknown suspects used the victim’s debit card at the Wawa on Route 10 in Dover on two separate occasions.

The victim’s cards were with the phone when the phone was stolen, according to police.

Police were able to obtain surveillance footage from the Royal Farms and the Wawa and the photos were later posted on social media.

Police were then able to identify the suspects as 61-year-old Aaron Bush, 47-year-old Paula Green, and 19-year-old Brandon Bush, all of Harrington.

Police obtained warrants for their arrest and learned that they were staying at the Super 8 motel in Harrington.

Police responded to the motel and took all three into custody with the assistance of the Felton Police Department and Delaware State Police.

All three were transported to the Harrington Police Department for processing and charged with Conspiracy Third Degree, Theft under $1,500, and two counts of Unauthorized Use of a Payment Card under $1,500.

All were arraigned, issued a $3,000 unsecured bond, and released.
