Fatal Pedestrian Crash in Dover Involving Two Vehicles
The Dover Police Department is investigating a crash that resulted in the death of a 44-year-old Dover man. Police say a vehicle had struck a pedestrian on Salisbury Road in the area of Clara Street EXT. He was transported to Bayhealth Kent Campus for treatment. The victim died as a result of the injuries sustained during the crash. According to police, a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox was heading southbound on Salisbury Road in that area while the victim at was walking in the roadway. That’s when the crash occurred. Then an unknown second vehicle struck him and failed to stop. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending family notifications. No charges have been filed at this time.
