Fees Increase at the Delaware DMV Beginning Wednesday
A reminder that beginning Wednesday some fees for services and transactions at the Delaware Division of Motor Vehicles will increase. These increases come as a result of the passage of House Bill 164 in an effort to boost Transportation Trust Fund (TTF) revenue. The TTF pays for the DelDOT operations, road construction and maintenance.
Also included are new fees on electric vehicles and hybrids.
Other changes effective October 1:

A dealership license renewal fee – $50.00

A dealership application fee for new dealers – $100.00

Specialty license plate creation fee for organizations interested in a new background or organizational license plate – $200.00
Other fees associated with driver’s license fees will increase on October 10th.
