Felton man charged in Milford shooting

A Felton man was arrested and charged in connection with a shooting in Milford.

According to the Milford Police Department, on Friday, Oct. 11 a warrant was obtained for 30-year-old Linwood G. Owens, of Felton, as part of an investigation into a shooting that took place around 8 p.m. in the 1000 block of South Walnut Street.

Owens allegedly fired a shot towards a Chevrolet Traverse, striking a rear fender, according to police. None of the occupants in the vehicle were harmed.

Police were unable to locate Owens on the evening of the shooting.

On Monday, Oct. 14, Owens was located and taken into custody in Felton and later turned over to Milford Police Department.

Owens was charged with Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, two counts of Reckless Endanger First Degree, Possession of a Deadly Weapon by Person Prohibited, and Criminal Mischief Over $1000. He was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $34,000 cash bond.
