Felton Woman Charged With False Statement to Police and Shoplifting


Felton Police have arrested a 38-year-old Felton woman in connection with a shoplifting incident that occurred at the town鈥檚 Royal Farms last month. Investigators say Tina M. Shehorn initially told police she was unaware that two male juveniles she drove to the store had stolen consumable goods on September 13th. However, further investigation revealed she had instructed the juveniles to commit the theft. Shehorn was charged with shoplifting under $1,500, conspiracy third degree, and falsely reporting an alleged incident to law enforcement鈥攁ll Class A misdemeanors. She was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court #2, issued a no-contact order with Royal Farms, and released on her own recognizance pending a later court date. Police said the two juveniles involved were previously identified through surveillance footage and public assistance, and arrest warrants were obtained.聽
